Oh the fair rides are so much fun. This year I could do about everything by myself. I was still a little too short to the do the big big slide by myself but hey mommy rode with me for extra fun.
I couldn't figure out how to make these things spin but they were still fun to ride on.
Hady rode the airplanes with me.
Hady is a proud supporter of Franice Hill for Judge.

The fair...animals!
At the end of July the fair is in town. I love the fair....the animals, the rides, the people, the food, everything!
This year we went twice...by mistake. The first time we visited the rides were not open so I suckered mommy and daddy into coming back for round 2. Two fair days means twice the fun. Daddy we need this!
Or this.
Oh, wait! Hady wants this one.
And of course, our yearly picture on the chicken.

So long July...hello preschool (gulp)
So another month of summer bites the dust and August is here which means I start school soon...Monday.
My loyal followers know, I love school, but the end of summer means a lot. It means the end of some of my favorite past times.
It means the ends of days spent in swimsuits and long rides on our four wheeler. It means the long weekends at the lake have to stop because preschool is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. PS I learned to ski this summer...really ski! Ski so far mommy has to swim back to the dock because the boat isn't coming back for her for a LONG time.
You have to be serious when you ski...you know it takes a lot of muscles. And everytime I finish I feel like I did something super fun.
School starting means I don't get to spend everyday all day with Hady. Now don't get me wrong she is my little sister which means she sometimes hits me, she likes to steal my toys, she eats my food and drinks my drinks but I love her. We have fun together. She lets me pretend to be a lion and chase her. She plays games with me like hide and seek. And she always laughs at my jokes and silly looks.
She is pretty silly herself. And of course, summer ending means the pool will soon be closing and my hours spent there will have to wait till next year. But hey there is still swimming at the lake...until it gets too chilly.

4th of July!
I do know the 4th of July was a few weeks ago but we have been on the go. We have been staying at the lake, we made a trip to Cincinnati to visit our new cousin Mickey and we just got back from visiting some of mommy and daddy's friends in Evansville. So I figure these pictures are better late than never. We spent the 3rd and the 4th at Grandpa's lake and then spent the 6th and the 7th at Nana and Papa's lake. So we got two times the firework shows which means two times the fun.
Fireworks are not till late at night so we found ways to occupy our time...smoke bombs and sparklers.
Finally time for the boat and the fireworks are close...now we are occupying our time with pictures...pictures and more pictures.
And then the second firework show...our pictures look very similar so I will just share one which is my favorite.
One picture from our trip with friends in Evansville.
And Happy Fourth of July just a little late.

Summer vacation 2012
Two weeks ago, we were off to Duck, North Carolina. It wasn't just our little family...it was with a lot of family. Lets see if I can name everyone that was there: Pappaw, Nene, Duke, John, Susan, Liam, Sylvia, Bill, Vicki, Ben, Ali, Charley and then of course my family. It was so fun to have so many people around for so many days.
Here is a post filled with pictures...lots and lots of pictures that tell my vacation story much better than I could tell it.

Our first few days were windy and red flag beach days which means no swimming but plenty of time to play in the sand and fly a kite.

Still had plenty of fun on the beach.
Time for some sun.
Run before the waves sweep you away.
We hit the beach day and night.
After two no swim in the ocean days...it was time to hit the water.
Body surfing.
There was not only a beach that took just a few minutes to walk to, there was a pool right at our house which meant late nights and early mornings filled with swimming.

Mommy calls me a water bug.
Fun with Ali in the pool.
Look at me.
When we were not in the water, we were around the water. We went crabbing. My first experience with crabs but it was fun. As long as you stay away from the pinchers...that is why I used tongs.Well because we were on family vacation, I thought I should have some pictures of all the other family members....sorry if I don't include you. I tried to choose the best pictures and I know I don't have everyone.

Duke and Ali
Charley...and yes he has pink crocs on.
Hady loves Pappaw.
This kid can eat me under the table.
Just floating.
More pool time.
More pool time.
We tried to get all the grandkids with Nene and Duke...some were more cooperative than others.
Fun times. We have to always attempt a family picture.
OK, I promise I am almost finished....
But I almost forgot to tell you about riding a pony. Well there was a fair down the street and the main attraction were these ponies. Of course, I had to ride and Hady wanted to but she is too small. So I got to ride and Hady got a lollipop.
Hady's favorite time at the beach was at night.
And just one more of mommy and daddy.
