A family trip to Florida...

We spent last week in Florda and yes, I am just now getting around to writing about it. Hey, what can I say, some days a little guy is just BUSY!
Well we spent our days taking walks (with me chasing the stroller or if Papa was driving...the stroller chasing me), looking for dolphins off of our porch (almost every day we saw at least a handful), visiting the manatee at the harbor (those things are HUGE!), making sand castles at the beach and spending countless hours splashing in the pool (or my favorite the hot tub).
There are way too many pictures to share but we all had a blast but as always, it feels good to be home and sleeping in my bed with my animals piled high on top of me. Oh yeah and with my slippers on...man, did I miss my shark slippers!

Hadley's 10 months...

Hadley was 10 months yesterday and we celebrated by spending the afternoon outside...the weather has been beautiful and I am not looking forward to the cold that is suppose to be returning later this week. Come on spring stick around for awhile...

Just the right size...

To fit into my truck and go for a little ride. This has provided several laughs the last few days...don't worry I drive slowly with my sister in the truck!

And she walks...

with a little help and a lot of careful steps!

Dinner...

What does dinner look like in your house?
Well leading up to dinner at our house...that's the exciting part. Mommy, Hady and I all crowd into the kitchen. Hady and I usually bring toys. Today it was legos and by the end of dinner preparation legos were all around the kitchen, under the kitchen table and some even traveled into the bathroom. We play and mommy cooks. Sometimes, I help mommy cook but my favorite thing to make is pancakes and cookies and those weren't on the menu tonight. Sometimes, I even have to escape from Hady and I use the countertop as my canvas for playing.
Then dinner! That's exciting too! We work so hard on waiting until daddy gets home to eat. Most nights we make it...some nights we don't! Tonight, we made it and we all sat down and had dinner together! My favorite.

Another first...

Well kind of..this time we witnessed it. Hady can pull up and can 'cruise' around the furniture. She was so proud of herself that we all had smiles on our faces!

Rainy days...

So with the start of spring time weather...comes rainy days. One good thing about the rain is that we can get outside between rain showers because it is warm. I can ride my bike through puddles and even go 'puddle hunting' and find the biggest puddle to jump in. Hady rides around on mommy and loves to be outside. Even when we are inside she is trying to get out.
Hady had a big week...she pulled up in her crib but just once. Mommy and I tried all afternoon to get her to do it again but she insisted on sitting there playing with her doll. Girls!
The one good thing about moving is mommy finds things she put away because I pushed the play button over and over again. This week mommy found my Easter bunny that sings and 'dances'. Well it used to jump and wave its arms. I don't know how it broke...could be the constant play button pushing. Well Hady has a love for it like I do and now mommy, daddy and I have the words memorized.
Enjoy your rainy Saturday if you are having one...I am sure I will do some more puddle jumping today. You know jumping in puddles is not only for three year olds...

We have a cousin!

So today I became a cousin thanks to Kelly and Martin. They gave me a little baby boy cousin that I will be able to run around and play with...well maybe in a few years. I have never been a cousin before so I got to thinking about all the things that I could teach him...
Hady and I could teach him to ride in a wagon. I could even teach him to pull the wagon.
Hady could teach him to crawl. She is so fast that she has bruises on her knees.
I could teach him not to chew on everything and I can help Kelly and Martin keep him safe by taking things away from him...only occasionally do I make the babies cry.
I could teach him to bust a move. I love to dance now a days but it has to be to a song of my choice! You know guys' music!
And this is only a list of the things I have done since nap time today. I have plenty to teach him! And I am so excited to be a cousin! Now let's meet him already!
