Yep, it happened! This is my last year in single digits and I think my mom and dad are feeling it. They keep telling me I look older. I don't feel it. But they do always get sentimental when one of us gets another year older. I didn't ask for much this birthday but I did want a birthday party with friends. All I wanted was to play football with my friends but mom kept reminding me my birthday was at the end of January. So we had it at BUGS and instead of gymnastics, we turned the floor into a football field. It was a blast and the time flew by.
I also celebrated with my family. Although mom said she was keeping life simpler this year and we just went to dinner with our family and then invited everyone for ice cream cake at Nana and Papa's. It was a good day celebrating turning 9. We went to Trojan Horse for dinner because I wanted a hamburger. Dad promised there was a good one their even though I had never been.
We celebrated with Grandpa and Catherine a few days early and they might have given me the coolest present of all. This Friday I get to go to my first concert! LUKE BRYAN! at Assembly Hall. I can't wait and have been practicing all his songs. Dad is the lucky guy I am bringing. Mom will have to live through the pictures that dad will be sending.
