Pre Christmas!

This was our first real Christmas celebration. Mommy and daddy got home on Sunday night and met me and Hady at Grandpa and Catherine's for Christmas number one. Almost everyone was there (Bill, Sylvia and Liam were in Spain, really who could blame them.) But our family is growing and there is definitely never a dull moment. Well, I provide the 'never a dull moment' thing.

Cousin Charley.

New cousin Johnny!

Present time.

Hady loves her new IU shirt.

Smiles from everyone.

Dinner time...Uncle Johnny wishes he was a kid so he could eat first like us.

Merry Christmas number one!  My favorite was my new train accessories and Hady loves her dollhouse pieces.

Georgia!

Mommy and daddy headed south the weekend before Christmas.  But before they hit the (slightly) warmer weather we had some fun in the snow.  This snow caused me to miss my last day of preschool before winter break which meant no preschool Christmas party.  Although I was sad the first big snow fall of the winter season definitely made up for it.

Once we played a little in the snow with mommy and daddy, they hit the road and we stayed with Nene and Duke for the whole weekend. We were spoiled by them and Ali, Noah and many others. We have a big family....which means more people to spoil me and Hady rotten. Mommy and daddy went on their own little adventure. They showed me the pictures to tell me the story so I will share them with you too.
 Dinner (without kids)...they love it!

Hunting gear is ready for the morning.

Daddy loves this!  And he says I will too...just have to get big!

They even rode horses (I really missed out).

Hunting birds.

One of the many dogs that helped find the quail.

The whole crowd.

Pappaw loves it almost as much as daddy.

Mommy wants one of these pups!  This one is Piper after a long day of retrieving birds from the field.

Back at the house ready for day two.  As you can see, it was only slightly warmer there than in Indiana.  Everyone needed layers and plenty of them.

The buggy waiting.

Here comes Toby with a quail.

A view looking back at the barn on the cold morning.

Mommy and daddy.  Mommy is ready to return to life and daddy would stay forever if she let him.

the weekend before...the weekend before.

Last weekend, we had our first Christmas celebration.  It was the weekend before, the weekend before Christmas.  Before we could leave to go to the lake, Hady had to go to gymnastics and I had a good breakfast with the boys (aka my uncles and Pappaw).

Hady loves gymnastics...and she loves her sparkly leotards from my friend Molly.  This one is her favorite because it has the most sparkles.

Time to have class.

The bar is Hady's favorite part of class!

Oh, wait...her favorite time is probably free time at the end.

After gymnastics and breakfast, we headed to the lake to visit with family.
This year we tried something new instead of presents, we helped Grandpa decorate his new tree with some bead wreaths.

Turned out nice, if you look close I made all the ones without a pattern.

We scavengered for candy.

We hung out with family and got some glow in the dark necklaces to liven the party up.

Oh, and of course we went on a pontoon boat ride.  As you can see, Grandpa could only convince his grandkids to go on the boat ride.  It was much warmer than at Thanksgiving.

Presents...there will be plenty of presents.  Last weekend was about family, young and old.

Getting ready for the holidays.

We are in holiday mode at home and at school.  Last week, my friends and I had our Christmas music program and I sang my heart out.  It is definitely one of my favorite preschool days.

At home to get ready, we helped mommy make ornaments to give as presents.  We made them just like cookies but the dough was not for eating.  Then we painted and put on sparkles.  We got creative with the colors and as you will see they turned out great.  No peeking if you are expecting one as a present in a few days.
As you can see, I use plenty of glitter.

Painting is a serious job.

Told you they are beautiful.  Seriously, no peeking....you know who you are!

Less than a week until Christmas!  And we may get snow tonight....enjoy your friends, family and of course the holiday season!

Another Santa outing.

This weekend we got to enjoy another Santa spotting.  I got to tell him again that I want a blue bike and Hady is changing her wish list from a horsie to some baby stuff.  Maybe Santa will have to bring her both...

There were reindeer games...

Then of course Santa!

Hey, listen up please...this is what we want for Christmas this year!

We got some early presents from the big guy...

I got transformers and Hady got a super loud baby doll (thanks a lot Santa) wink wink.

Wishing you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year...ours will be fantastic and I know yours will be too.
