Preschool.

I love preschool. We have show and tell, we get to make special crafts, we learn about volcanoes (yep, thats right), we have lots of play time with friends and we even have parties. Today, was our winter 'Happy Birthday Jesus!' party. Mommys and daddys can come if they want. Today mommy took off work so she could come and party with me and my preschool friends. I don't know what I am going to do when we have two weeks off of break. I am going to miss my friends and my teachers so much. At least, I will have Santa coming for a visit to keep me occupied. Here are some of my preschool friends...two were missing. I promise usually there are more boys.
Us cheesin'!
We can't sit still long.
My friends are so silly.

Santa.

He came to visit...twice. Saturday and Sunday. He is one busy man. How does he do it? Today he had contacts in instead of glasses but he arrived on a golf cart today. He was running a little late so the golf must have been good. Saturday we went to the annual Snowflake Festival hosted by my speech. Santa even had gifts wrapped already. Boy his elves must be busy. Sunday we went to the Country Club and had breakfast and waited and waited while Santa finished his golf and could come visit us kids. Oh, you will see lots of attempts at a 'cute' picture of me and Hady in front of the tree. Mommy is obsessed and I don't think she has got one yet so Hady and I will be posing more...and probably more.
This is kind of our pose this year.
Check the shirt.
Dancing fools.
Not so impressed with Santa.
How'd he know I like cars...must have been Dixon.
More posing...
Elves...
Waiting on Santa.
My wishlist...
Ho.Ho.Ho.

special week.

This has been a really special week and I have a lot of pictures to share so I might have to break them into more than one post but here is a start. This week daddy made his famous chocolate banana milkshakes. Have you heard of them? You should come and try them. DELICIOUS! Hady was in heaven. Then on Thursday night I went back to school to sing. And boy, did I sing. I sang with my friends about Christmas. All my friends were there and we ate spcial treats in the gym afterwards. We went to school when it was dark out, that's silly but fun!
You don't have to say it...I know you want a sweater vest like mine. Talk to Nene.
Me the great singer.
Good friends.
More to come on my Santa encounters.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

So this past week or two we have been getting ready for Christmas. Helping to put up Christmas trees, wrapping presents, writing letters to Santa, making cookies...you know the good stuff. All the stuff that makes this season my favorite by far...I don't mean to take away from the fun of dressing up at Halloween, or having the Easter bunny visit our house, or the fun of swimming on a hot 100 degree day, but really what or who can beat Santa? A big jolly guy that comes down your chimney and leaves lots and lots of presents. Here is a recap of us 'decking the halls.'
First attempt at a picture in front of a Christmas tree....this is Nana and Papa's tree.
My letter to Santa...I hope I get everything I asked for.
Tree hunting while my sister sleeps in daddy's truck.
And she wakes...kind of.
Time to decorate.
The bottom of the tree looks great.
Time to make cookies...it is a lot like playing with playdoh.
Taste test.
18 more days till Christmas!

It's snowing.

And boy, I mean it was snowing. On the way home from school today the snowflakes where as big as my head and when we got home we quickly put on our winter, snow clothes and headed out to play. Hady was unimpressed with the snowflakes and the noise coming from in our house (we are getting our mudroom redone which means loud bangs). After naptime, we venture out again and Hady was more eager to try the snow because mommy searched out my old snowboots and they fit her perfectly. We walked into the woods where the snow was melting off the trees already and we even tried a little sledding. The wet wet ground made the sledding slow but still fun! I can't wait for it to snow more because even this little bit of snow provided so many new adventures.
Did you see that snowflake?
Hady wanted nothing to do with that wet, white stuff falling from the sky..."Hady it is snow!"
Post nap...more eager to explore with ME!
