Oliver turns 3!

My dear sweet Oliver,

It is hard to believe that you are three!  You are feisty but sweet.  You are playful but serious.  You are so much fun but sometimes give me more grey hairs.

You started school this year at St. Mark's preschool.  It took a few weeks to adjust.  Lots of tears at first and you still tell me every day that I don't need to leave.  You want to stay and play but you want me to stay first.  But after a few minutes and a big, tight hug you say bye.  You have a lot of fun and your most favorite time is when you can go outside to play.

You love to play with Ricey and Hadley.  You miss them when they are at school.  And cannot wait for school pick up to run around with the big kids.  You look like you fit right in on the football field chasing after Rice.

You still don't eat much.  You will love something one day and you will hate it the next.  The only constant things in your diet are milk, oatmeal granola bars, yogurt, ice cream, and candy.  You have a sweet tooth for sure.  Many days you ask for dessert before 9 o'clock in the morning.

You still love to play by yourself.   You have a vivid imagination.  You still love cars and trains but your new favorite thing is super heroes.  You would wear your superman costume every day if I let you and I do let you  most days.  You're only three once right?  You love to play guys and fight with swords.  Nene got you a few serious swords for your birthday this year.  It is not a good day without a sword fight.

You can swim by yourself.  Really swim!  It is your desire to be big.  You didn't wear your bubbles one time on Thanksgiving break to Nana and Papa's house in Florida.

You are still working on this talking thing.  You love to tell stories even if only a few words are understood by others.  You have big stories to share so we continue to work on your favorite words and you are making progress.  You love when Ms. Sarah comes for speech.  It is one of your favorite times all week, one hour of non stop playtime can't be beat even if you have to say words correctly.

You always make us laugh when you belly flop off the side of the pool, when you fight that dangerous tree in the front yard, when you yell at Riley for nipping at your cute little behind, or when you say 'no more night night' after three minutes of laying in your bed.

Happy 3rd birthday precious boy.  We love you with all of our hearts!
