Rice's 5th birthday!

I had a birthday weekend to remember!  It was like no other weekend!  It was a full weekend of fun and lots and lots of excitement.
Lets start with a pizza party at my house on Friday night with my big family.
Saturday I had a party with friends at a real working fire station.  Then, (yes, there is more!) I got to go to Monster Jam in Indy with Grandpa and daddy.
Sunday I went to the IU basketball game and got to go down at halftime and get the game ball.  I thought I would get to shoot around with Cody Zeller but instead I got to take home a ball signed by Tom Crean.
And my birthday is not even till Thursday!  I went to dinner with my little family of four at the country club.  I got to pick and I was craving a grilled cheese and an awesome big chocolate ice cream brownie sundae.
Here is my big weekend in pictures....lots and lots of pictures.

And my birthday at home with mommy and Hady...followed by dinner with daddy!

A note from mommy to Rice:
I cannot believe five years have already went by.  You first gave me the opportunity to become a mom and by doing that you have taught me so much about life and about love.  Every day you bring a smile to my face.  You are a loving, caring, compassionate little boy.  Every day you are goofy and full of energy even when I think you have to be tired, you come tearing through the house like a lion or a dinosaur.  Hadley thinks you are the best friend anyone could ever have.  She mimics your every move.  She thinks you are the coolest and you are the best big brother she could ever have.  You take care of her.  You teach her new things.  You teach her how to play.  I just hope you two are always as close as you are today.  You have a remarkable friendship.  The other day you told me you didn't want to be a furnace man like daddy but you wanted to be a farmer.  We know you can do anything you set your mind to.  You love science and school.  You love being around your friends and you love to play outside.  I hope everyday that you will always be as a happy as you are right now.  Your heart is full and in return my heart is full.  I love you with all my heart.  There is no other five year old like you and I cherish the moments I spend with you.  Here is to another year full of wonderful five year old memories.
