There were so many moments today that I just wished would have lasted forever....
When Rice brought me my mother's day card and in the soft little 3 year old voice said "happy mother's day mommy!". He had a card in his hands but when I asked if I could open it he said "no me!"
Hady leaning in to give me a kiss right before bedtime. I do this with her every night but tonight she initiated it...without me even asking. Usually to get a good kiss I have to ask but tonight my sweet little 11 month old must have knew it was mother's day because she knew just what to do.
This whole weekend Charlie has been working so hard to make Hady walk. She can do it...she is strong enough. She just lacks motivation and well she is a darn fast crawler. Every time I stepped out the door or walked around the corner I heard "did you see that" or "she just took 7 steps." No I didn't see any solid walking but the look on Charlie's face was something that I cherished. He was so proud of his little girl and I secretly think he is happy to know that he witnessed it first.
The giggling I heard from the porch while Rice played with my grandmother...his great grandmother. Or the way Hady looks up at her great grandfather when he talks in his scratchy voice. It is a look full of confusing but like she knows he is somehow a big part of her life.
Oh there are just so many...so many in just one day...
All those little moments....and so many more flash by in an instant. The more difficult parenting times seem to last too long or just the more difficult times of life seem to stretch on endlessly. My goal is to stretch out these little moments...keep those in my heart and on my mind because those are the important ones!
Happy mother's day to all the moms in the world!
And of course some pictures of my two cuties on my third mother's day!
